PINZ has recently completed the Skills Development Project (PPTA 4799) in Bangladesh.
The project aimed to assist the government of Bangladesh prepare a project proposal for possible project loan financing and improve the relevance, quality, access, efficiency, and financing of TVET. The outputs of the TA were: (i) situation analysis; (ii) recommendations for necessary TVET policy reforms and development activities; and (iii) project loan design proposal, which includes support for the development of short-term training programs and basic skills development, capacity strengthening, and project implementation.
The project ran for 8 months and involved 3 international and 5 national consultants. The project included workshops, Focus Group Discussions, Labour Market Survey, and consultations with key stakeholders within Bangladesh. The PPTA Final Report was delivered to the Client in late August.
