International Vocational Education and Training Association (IVETA) Annual Conference

PINZ is a member of IVETA and there will be an IVETA conference in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, December 3, 2008. The theme of IVETA's conference is Employment/Unemployment: The Role of Vocational-Technical Education.

PINZ is a member of the International Vocational Education and Training Association.

IVETA is an organization and network of vocational educators, vocational skills training organizations, business and industrial firms, and other individuals and groups interested or involved in vocational education and training worldwide. IVETA is dedicated to the advancement and improvement of high-quality vocational education and training wherever it exists and wherever it is needed.

IVETA is working to create a new era in communication among vocational educators around the globe. Members include practitioners and researchers in the field of vocational education and training as well as institutions, organizations, and companies actively engaged in human resource development.

IVETA strives to accomplish these purposes:

· To foster and promote professional linkages among international vocational educators and trainers

· To serve as a forum for sharing vocational education and training problems and solutions worldwide

· To assist in the further development of vocational education and training as an international enterprise

· To facilitate the worldwide dissemination of vocational education and training information

IVETA disseminates  information on emerging issues in Technical Vocational Training (TVET), and members (such as PINZ) provide summaries of important conference presentations on the latest concepts and developments in TVET worldwide.  IVETA publishes a Journal with empirical research articles and selected issues focusing on single topics (e.g., Evaluation of TVET).

PINZ has been an IVETA member for five years.
