In March, PINZ specialists arrived in Mongolia to undertake work on the ADB funded Reforming Higher Education for a Knowledge Society Project. This policy and advisory project is being implemented over the next 12 months and will prepare recommendations to improve the quality, relevance and management of higher education in Mongolia.
The team of experts is working closely with the Mongolian Ministry of Education, Culture and Science. A successful Inception workshop was held on 28 April which provided an opportunity for stakeholder engagement and feedback on the Inception Report produced by the team.
PINZ’s team of international experts are returning to Mongolia at the end of August to continue work on the Reforming Higher Education for a Knowledge Society Project. During this second input, work will include a survey to be undertaken to research the classroom assessment practices of teacher trainees and experienced higher education teachers. The implications of these practices to assessment in higher education in Mongolia will inform the project recommendations. A stakeholder workshop will be held in mid-September.
